This position entails design and debug of digital circuit boards for RFID readers in our Systems Engineering department. You
will be a unit hardware owner, responsible for designing and delivering a complete RFID reader. Low level software for
diagnostics and drivers is essential. Also requires FPGA logic design to implement signal processing functions.
- End-to-end RFID related digital board design
- Architectural tradeoffs
- Part selection and sourcing
- Schematic capture, PCB layout supervision
- Diagnostic software and low level drivers
- Board and processor bring up and test
- FPGA Verilog logic design
- Trouble-shooting using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Characterization
- Transition to manufacturing
- Writing board documentation and test procedures
- BSEE and minimum 5 yrs. experience in board design
- Solid understanding of digital logic and design techniques
- Analog circuit design including A to D converters, regulators and power supplies
- Experience with FPGAs
- Experience with microprocessors
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Familiarity with RF board design
